Let’s draw out, what is inside you and heal.

Curios
Therapeutic Approach
For those who are interested in the theoretical perspectives of their therapist, I wish to honour that inquisitiveness here: I practice from a Rogerian person-centered and process-experiential approach. I am also well-versed and comfortable with Family Systems, Rational Emotive Behaviour Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Emotion-Focused Therapy.
For children, I provide engaging play therapy and sand-tray therapy techniques to help these precious ones feel comfortable and process their concerns together. For teens, I provide talk therapy, sometimes we go for walks, play games (chess etc.). I tend to try and enter their world and see it from their perspective.
At the core of my approach is the belief that connection is the most beneficial aspect of counselling, research has revealed that a healthy therapeutic relationship is considered the most important aspect of therapy, even more important than all the techniques, tools and interventions combined. I work hard to help you feel supported, respected, heard, affirmed and validated, while exploring options and opportunities for what may benefit you.
Recognizing the importance of a good connection helps provide a great relational foundation for utilizing tools such as Feedback Improved Therapy (FIT) and numerous evidence-based treatments. These effective techniques and tools can greatly complement and contribute to a counselling experience designed to best serve you.
